"At this point, I use A Better Back® for a lot of purposes. I use it as a lumbar support without the heat or cold, and I use either heat or cold as needed. Mostly heat though - fibromyalgia doesn't really seem to respond to cold very well for me. I've used it while heated to curl around when I've had severe abdominal cramps, and to rest my head on when I've had bad headaches. I've heated it up and put it under the blankets to act as a bed and foot warmer in the winter months. I position it vertically to warm my entire spine and relax the muscles of my upper back and lower back at the same time. I also place it on top of my shoulder(s) to relax my muscles there. And of course, I use it while doing my homework and at work.
